Flowers Can Bloom Through Ashes is a story of hope and redemption.
Juliet is at that age where she feels awkward. Being raised by a single mom who sends her off to her aunts every summer, she struggles to make friends. She just turned fourteen and is heading into high school in the fall. She is determined to come out from under her overprotective, workaholic mom.
After a tragic accident, she finds out things that her family never revealed to her.
Will this be the summer that she finally finds where she belongs? Will the things she learns about her family bring her peace or chaos?
This story touches on topics such as teen insecurities, single parenting, alcohol abuse, suicidal thoughts, promiscuity, divorce, growing up in a small town, friendships, and love.
There are no graphic scenes or violence.

🌅 The Inspiration Behind the Book
To help teens see things in life differently. To make choices that aren’t the “world’s way”. I share in a way that’s not preachy but subtly woven into the storyline. I wanted to write a book without graphic adult themes. I touch on important topics without smut or “spice,” as they call it.

✍️ About the Author
Dawn M Montri, of Dawn ~ The Happy Farmwife, dreamed of becoming an author. Her dream began when she earned her first blue ribbon at age 8, during a young authors' event held in her third-grade class. Fifty years later, here she is publishing her first novel. When asked “why now?”, she smiles and says, “to show my grandchildren to never give up on their dreams.”
She lives in SE Michigan on a third-generation farm with her husband Jim and her cat. She is the mom to two adult children, Matthew and Shayna. “Greema” to two granddaughters, Harleigh and Charlotte, and is expecting her first Grandson, Graham, within a few months of publishing this novel.
She is a Contributing Author to The Sisterhood Magazine.
