Spiritual warfare can be intimidating, scary, and incredibly confusing. That’s no accident.
If we have an enemy (and we do), and this enemy wants to neutralize Christians (and he does), one of the best tools is confusion. Keep us from knowing what to do, and we won’t end up doing anything.
Thankfully, spiritual warfare is simple.
Over thousands of pastoral counseling appointments, I’ve witnessed three clear, simple truths cut through endless confusion. They’re easy to understand, they’re incredibly powerful, and they come straight from the Bible. We’ve watched people find freedom in minutes from demonic attacks, lifelong anger, crippling sin, and a myriad of other issues.
God didn’t intend for us to be confused about spiritual warfare. He wants us to understand it clearly. Once we understand the enemy’s schemes, we won’t be taken captive by them. When you know the truth, it sets you free.

Ten years of pastoral counseling, witnessing the struggles and confusion afflicting the church. Because of helping so many people through this, I was asked to teach on spiritual warfare. Through prayer and study in preparation for that seminar, the core of this book formed.
