🌅 The Inspiration Behind the Book
In my journal, I wrote a poem. It was about a turtle. His name was not Tadeo at that point. I was a new writer and belonged to The Word Guild (a Canadian Christian writers group). I received help in doing my own watercolour illustrations from my art teacher. She encouraged me. I first published 5 copies using Shutterfly. I took those copies to Write!Canada to show to editors and friends. I said to myself and God, if I sell at least 3 of them, I will publish this book. I did sell three (very expensive, too, at $25.00 each). I first published with a vanity publisher, but have since redone the book and published through Amazon.
