After observing how those who are hurting will often hurt others, I wanted to inspire people to have empathy, to turn the other cheek, and to love like Jesus.
Dave the bear shows a godly love that turns the other cheek when he meets Chippy: a troubled ground squirrel who is angry at the world because he lost his home during a flood. Chippy thinks that the bear’s joy is evidence that he’s never suffered a day in his life, but he’s wrong.
